Exercise, a Cure-all?

Got a headache? Take a pill.  Feeling depressed?  Take a pill.  Premature ejaculation? Take a pill.  We are a nation of quick fix pill poppers, but they don't tackle the root cause of a problem.  Isn't it about time that exercise rather than pills are prescribed by our doctors for certain illnesses?  Premature ejaculation is a serious & embarrassing issue for many men, popping a pill to help with this might mask the problem for a while, but to help long term, a change in lifestyle may be more likely to help.  According to a recent study, men who exercised regularly - jogged, cycled or lifted weights for at least 40 minutes each day, lasted around 5 minutes 30 seconds from penetration to ejaculation; whereas the more sedentary of the men (less than 30 minutes walking per week), lasted an average of 3 minutes, some ejaculating after around 20 seconds.

The NHS says PE falls into two categories - primary or secondary, based on whether this is a long term issue or whether it has recently developed. The causes of primary premature ejaculation are often psychological, such as having a traumatic sexual experience at an early age.

Secondary premature ejaculation can be caused by both psychological and physical factors and has been linked to drinking too much alcohol & possibly not enough exercise.

Well, this makes perfect sense to me, keep your body healthy & fit and it will work so much better for you.  Exercise releases endorphins which make you feel so much happier, confident, and let's face it - we look a darn sight better with regular exercise in our life. Hannah Hunter
